Planet Ark

9th – 15th November is National Recycling Week. NRW aims to increase the environmental benefits, including greater tonnage consigned for recycling and less contamination by way of landfills, water courses etc. Developing and improving recycling habits is a continual process with enormous benefits for the environment and sustainability – reducing landfill, reducing energy consumption, minimising pollution and quite often, reduces costs on the community and society at large.

Starting School

As we are approaching the end of the year we would like to ask all families to please inform us if you will not be requiring your child’s booking to continue in 2016.

There is no need to contact us if there is no change to your booking, all current bookings will be carried over for 2016 unless families have indicated otherwise.

We received an industry newsletter yesterday with some information about a great early childhood initiative developed by the Australian Government. This initiative is call Starting Blocks and its aim is to help families prepare their children for early education and care and develop ways for them to work in partnership with their educators. Please follow this link if you would like to read further http://www.startingblocks.gov.au/

We would also like to let all families know that at this time we are currently fully booked, due to this we are very limited into the number of additional days that we can offer families from week to week, and at this stage will only be able to give a maximum of a week’s notice if we can offer an extra day. We thank your for your understanding.

Ipads Sign In System

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are very excited to inform you that our service has subscribed to a fantastic digital sign in/out program called QK Kiosk.
This will be implemented for  Monday the 19th of October.

Why the new sign in/out process?
Our service is joining over 500 childcare services across Australia by subscribing to this modern sign in/out process. Its reputation proves itself to be the easiest and most time-saving sign in/out process in the market. Old paper sign in/out sheets are now a thing of the past as this QK Kiosk assists us to increase efficiency and better manage our centre because when you sign your child/ren in and out, your name, and the exact times are recorded and automatically updated in our main childcare management software program.

 How do I log in?
Soon we will have a device available, either at the front desk or one in each room. One the first day follow these simple steps:
1. Insert your phone number
 2. First time users your pin will be 0000.
*** It will ask you to set your private pin code. You have now set your log in details (phone number & pin).
3. Sign your child/ren in or, out or mark as absent.
4. Done!
 5. Repeat on collection.
If the QK Kiosk (touch screen) doesn’t accept your phone number, please double check with the staff if we have your correct phone number on our system. We can quickly update it, and then you’ll be able to log in.

What happens if I need a family member or friend to drop off or collect?
No worries, because family member or friend will be in our system as an emergency contact for your family. So they will have their own log in details (phone number & private pin) to drop off or collect. For a better understanding of how you’ll use the QK Kiosk to sing your child/ren in or out, please view this VIDEO.

Parent involvement is extremely important to us and we are thrilled to be able to use this wonderful new sign in/out process.

Welcome to our blog!

Hi Parents!

Welcome to the new way that we will be communicating with you! In an attempt to shorten our emails to you as parents - we felt that it would be a good idea to have all of our information in one place. This blog will replace our periodic newsletters from the Centre.

On this blog you will find centre information, upcoming events, and links to any websites that we think you as parents would benefit from or may find interesting.

If you would like to contribute to our blog in anyway or would like to suggest content that you would like to see included please email us at:

We look forward to sharing our information with you!
